CWS’ response to COVID-19 focuses on reaching out to the vulnerable/under privileged communities with Family Essentials Kits and raising awareness among the communities. Our goal to support the most vulnerable families so that the impact of the COVID-19 on under privileged women, youths and daily wage labour can be mitigated.
CWS has reached out to more than 5500 families with Family Essentials Kits and awareness camps in Delhi NCR and Bihar. We have also reached more than 10000 people with messaging on COVID-19 helping them to stay safe from the pandemic by ensuring the installation and uses of Aarogya Setu App.
Most of the beneficiaries during the COVID-19 pandemic have faced multiple hardships. With factories and workplaces shut down due to the lockdown imposed in the country, all of them had to deal with the loss of income, food shortages and uncertainty about their future. Our small help brought many smiles on our beneficiary’s face.
With the help of donors like United Way of Delhi, Amway,Akshaya Patra we have so far distributed over 5500 Family Essentials Kits to vulnerable families in Delhi NCR.
